Wolverine ReForce Work Boot: First Impressions
Typically, when I’m shopping for boots, I’ll gravitate towards a taller boot, but these 6-inch hiker style boots are a pretty comfortable alternative. The Wolverine ReForce work boots are a great year-round boot that’s able to tackle challenging work environments and terrains.
Out of the box, these boots are pretty comfortable. The full-grain leather upper is soft and flexible and the padded ankle collar provides a little extra cushioning while kneeling down.
My only real issue is that they are a little narrow. I don’t have particularly wide feet, but if I were to go back in time, I’d probably order the wide version to give my toes a little more room. With that said, I do prefer a snug fit that’ll break in over time, as opposed to boots that are loose from the beginning.

Comfort and Fit
Ordering boots online can be a little nerve racking, especially when there isn’t a reliable sizing guide. I typically wear a size 11 regular work boot, and as far as length goes, the Wolverine ReForce boots are spot on—they’re just a little snug in the toe box.
As for comfort, Wolverine includes their removable lightweight ETPU foam insole that works in tandem with the durable EngergyBound midsole. This cushioned midsole is lightweight and designed to be very reactive on hard surfaces, making long days on your feet a little easier.
Construction
This boot features a full-grain leather upper with a breathable moisture wicking mesh liner and time-tested Goodyear Welt construction. Additionally, these boots have double stitched seams all around and triple stitching at key stress points at the midsole.
Wolverine’s DuraShocks dual-suspension outsole pads provide heavy-duty shock absorption and reduce felt impact on rough or uneven terrain. They also feature a nylon shank and all metal lacing hardware for added strength and durability.
Additional Features
- Oil and slip resistant

The Bottom Line
So, should you check out the Wolverine ReForce work boots? Based on my experience, I’d have to say yes! In spite of the slimmer fit, these boots are exceptionally comfortable, and their full welt construction gives some strong positive indicators as to their overall durability.
