I can still recall the days when a dead car or truck battery meant having someone pull up alongside you and running cables between the vehicles. While that’s certainly a valid practice, new products like the Wolfbox MegaVolt 24 Jump Starter render that method obsolete—and work far more conveniently. With one of these Wolfbox jump starters, you can basically jumpstart a vehicle all by yourself.

The Wolfbox MegaVolt 24 Jump Starter comes with everything you need to jump start your car battery. It features a 24000mAh battery that’s suited for 12V vehicles like cars, trucks, and boats. It’s even compatible with both gas and diesel engines up to 10L.

The Wolfbox MegaVolt 24 Jump Starter boasts 10 levels of protection. That means you won’t likely break the charger by reversing the jumper clamps or operating it at higher temperatures. As jump-starting a car or truck can happen in conjunction with all manner of stress, we like anything that reduces the potential for accidental damage.
It’s also equipped with an IP64 ingress rating, meaning it’s protected against dust and water spray in any direction.
Other Handy Features
The Wolfbox MegaVolt 24 recharges via an included USB-C cord. The 65W USB-C outlet, as well as the 10W USB-A outlet, can also be used to charge mobile devices, like phones and laptops. Wolfbox tells us it can charge a phone to 90% in as little as 30 minutes.
Like many portable jump starters, this model is equipped with an onboard flashlight that toggles between high-beam, strobe, and SOS modes.
Final Thoughts
The Wolfbox MegaVolt 24 Jump Starter worked as advertised. Our familiarity with these products lets us know that it can also handle most full-size trucks, cars, and just about anything else you can think of.
In fact, the biggest concern with portable battery-powered jump starters is the sheer number of companies that make them! Trying to discern which models are safer than others presents a problem.
Of the various different models we’ve used over the years (many being generic brands), none have caused us any grief. That leads me to think manufacturers may have figured out how to discharge these packs safely for their designed purpose.
In the end—is the Wolfbox MegaVolt 24 a product that can jump start your vehicles? Undoubtably… just like every other lithium-polymer jump starter we’ve tested to date.
