Uneven Surfaces are no Match for the Werner LevelSafe
Using a ladder requires you to be on flat ground, but not all jobsites are perfectly level. To fix this issue, there are several ladder levelers and other accessories on the market from a variety of brands. If you primarily use Werner ladders, the brand’s new LevelSafe Pro addresses some common pain points for industry pros working on uneven ground. I’m looking at this ladder accessory to see how it could benefit you and your team.

The PK100 LevelSafe attaches to select Werner ladders to make them level when working on an uneven surface. It can adjust up to 8-1/2 inches automatically without the need to lift the ladder from the ground.
This design improves upon Werner’s last iteration ladder level, the PK70-3 LeveLok, which utilized a unilateral design. The LevelSafe’s double-sided blueprint doesn’t require you to switch sides depending on the orientation of your uneven surface.
It’s worth noting that it adds around 4 inches in width to the bottom portion of your ladder, so take that into consideration for storage and transportation purposes.
How it Works
Werner designed the LevelSafe Pro to automatically adjust to uneven surfaces. After you install it onto your ladder, simply lift the yellow locks on each side to engage the Micro-Adjust feature. This mechanism allows you to adjust the angle of your ladder without lifting the ladder from the ground.
The LevelSafe includes a bubble level that you can attach to the ladder around eye level to help you ensure your ladder is perfectly straight. Once you find your angle, push down on the yellow lock to disengage the adjustment feature and lock it into place.
