The 19V3 is a pull-start. That’s not unusual on such units. However, Vanguard optimized the 300 single cylinder engine for a shorter rope pull that also requires less pull force.
Furthermore, this thing has eye-opening temperature endurance. According to the brand’s reps, the 19V3 has a mechanical compression release and choke optimized for improved cold weather starting – down to 0º to be exact. It’s also resistant to stale fuel, which will come in handy every spring.
Moreover, Vanguard has you covered in terms of engine maintenance. The 19V3’s cyclonic air filter is a standard feature with a 600-hour replacement interval. Additionally, it features a proprietary nano media self-cleaning filter element with Vanguard’s Autoshed Technology.
