Truewerk is one of the best workwear brands out there and we’ve been wearing it since the beginning back in 2015. Truewerk pants and shorts are massively popular thanks to their comfort, movement, and durability. There are a lot of choices and we’ll help you sort through them so you can decide which ones are the best for the way you work.
Pro Tip: Decoding the Lingo
When you look at Truewerk’s T-series gear, it’s all about the best temperatures to wear it. The higher the number, the higher then warmth factor
- T1: Spring through Summer
- T2: Spring through Fall
- T3: Fall through Winter
- T4: Deep Winter
Men’s Truewerk Pants
Truewerk Cloud Pants
The Cloud Pants are named extremely well. These pants are ridiculously lightweight, thin, and breathable. They’re your go-to in the hottest conditions and make an easy transition as everyday wear rather than jobsite-exclusive gear. When I’m out fishing on hot days, chances are I’m wearing these or the Cloud shorts.
They’re not as durable as the T-series pants, so wear knee pads if you’re going to be working at floor level. If you tend to snag a lot when you’re working, the T1 might be a better fit for you.
These are available in sizes small to XXXL. Color options include olive and deep grey.
Additional Highlights
- UPF 30+
- Athletic, true-to-size fit (order up if you’re between sizes)
- Sweat-wicking
- 4-way stretch
- Half elastic waistband
- Belt loops and drawstring with button closure
- 5 pockets (L/R front, L/R rear, cell phone w/pencil holder)
- 2 reflective strips
- 20 CFM airflow
Truewerk EDO Pants
The EDO pants are a departure from what we’ve seen from Truewerk so far. While the material is still a technical, moisture-wicking blend, the weave is a cord pattern, so they have a look that’s a style upgrade. It also makes them more abrasion and tear-resistant. It’s an intentional design to give you the durability and movement of Truewerk gear while maintaining a more professional look for the office.
There are more fit options as well. In addition to the 30 – 42-inch waist options, each size also has a length choice for short, regular, long, and extra long. Your color choices include sand, black, and olive night.
Additional Highlights
- True-to-size fit (order up if you’re between sizes)
- Sweat-wicking
- 4-way stretch
- Belt loops and button closure
- 7 pockets with knife clip reinforcement on front pockets (L/R front, L/R rear, earbud (coin), two cell phone)
Truewerk T1 Pants
The T-series is where it all began for Truewerk. These pants are ridiculously durable with crazy-good movement and outstanding comfort. The T1 is the lightest of the group and is meant for warm temperatures. They feature a soft shell front with a soft fabric backing underneath. They’re not as light as the Cloud Pants, but the higher durability makes them the go-to pant for most tradesmen.
Size options run from 30 to 44 inches in the waist and 30 to 36 inches in length. There are now five colors available: navy, sand, deep grey, black, and olive.
Additional Highlights
- True-to-size fit (order up if you’re between sizes)
- Sweat-wicking
- 4-way stretch
- Articulated knees
- Belt loops and button closure
- 8 pockets (L/R front with one zippered upper pocket, L/R rear, left cargo, right thigh dual phone w/pencil holder)
There’s also an overall version available. The sizing is different, opting for small to XXXL with short, regular, and long options. There are currently two colors available: deep grey and sand.
Truewerk T2 Pants
When the temps are a little on the chilly side, the T2 Werkpant is where to turn. It’s foundationally the same as the T1 with a couple of key differences to help deal with lower temps. The material is thicker and adds polyester to the blend. In addition to the extra insulating effect, it’s also water-resistant thanks to a DWR treatment and windproof. We like these for days that top out around 70° F or so. Any warmer than that, and the T1 is a better bet.
For sizing, the waist range is 28 to 44 inches with 30 to 36-inch length options. In addition to the navy, sand, deep grey, black, and olive colors of the T1, the T2 also has a wolf grey, giving you 6 total choices.
Additional Highlights
- True-to-size fit (order up if you’re between sizes)
- Sweat-wicking
- Water-resistant DWR coating
- Windproof
- 4-way stretch
- Articulated knees
- Belt loops and button closure
- 8 pockets (L/R front with one zippered upper pocket, L/R rear, left cargo, right thigh dual phone w/pencil holder)
Truewerk T3 Pants
When the temps start dropping to numbers that scare most Floridians (that’s us), Truewerk’s T3 Werkpants are in order. Interestingly, the material blend and weight are exactly the same as the T2. The big difference is the addition of a fleece liner that adds insulation. Gran these for days when the temps don’t rise above 50°F. Higher than that, the T2 is a better choice for most folks.
There’s only one color available for the T3—black. Sizing runs 28 to 44 inches for the waist and 30 to 36 inches for the length.
Additional Highlights
- True-to-size fit (order up if you’re between sizes)
- Sweat-wicking
- Water-resistant DWR coating
- Windproof
- Fleece lining
- 4-way stretch
- Articulated knees
- Belt loops and button closure

There’s a bib version of the T3 available. Like the pants, it’s only available in black. Sizes run small through XXXL with short, regular, or long lengths.
Truewerk T4 Bibs
There’s only one member of the T4 line and it’s a bib design. It’s the toughest of the entire Truewerk pants lineup and is specifically made to deal with cold, harsh environments. The shell is the same blend as the T3 bibs, but actually less in the weight of the material. That’s because there are 180 grams (GSM) of polyester insulation that the T3 doesn’t have.
Just like the T3 bibs, these come in black with sizes ranging from small to XXXL and short to long lengths.

Working landscape? Cloud shorts. Taking a stroll downtown? Cloud shorts. Remodeling? Cloud shorts. You get the idea.
You have the same small to XXXL waist sizes as the Cloud pants and they all feature a 10-inch inseam. What’s different is there are five color options instead of just two: deep grey, black camo, olive, flint, and black.

Women’s Truewerk Pants
Truewerk T1 Pants
Truewerk has pants with all the same benefits as men’s cuts but specifically designed to fit the shape of women. The materials, durability, stretch, and pocket loadout are all the same. Seriously, there’s no compromise—just a women’s specific fit. The T1 Werkpants are your hot-weather choice.
Considering how many women’s options skimp out on the number or size of pockets, it’s worth pointing out what Truewerk offers. There are 8 total pockets. You have your typical left/right hand pockets on the front and rear pockets on the back. There’s a zippered upper pocket on the right hip, a cargo pocket on the left thigh, and two stacked phone pockets on the right thigh.
Color options include deep grey, sand, and olive. Sizes run 00 through 18 with 30, 32, and 34-inch lengths.

Truewerk T2 Pants
Taking the women’s T1 up a notch, the T2 Werkpants offers the same benefits when you need a bit more warmth to keep you comfortable. The thickness increases and polyester joins the material blend. A DWR coating keeps moisture out and the tight weave keeps wind from penetrating through.
Size options are the same as the T1: 00 through 18 for the waist, and 30, 32, or 34 inches for the length. The women’s T2 is available in deep grey or sand.
