New Ridgid RE6 3 in 1 Electrical Tool Cuts, Crimps, and Punches
The new Ridgid RE6 Electrical Tool is the company’s first battery powered tool targeting professional electricians. The RE6 features Ridgid’s innovative QuickChange System. This new system utilizes a collar that allows for switching out the 3 heads designed for the Ridgid RE6. These tools include a cutting head, crimping head, and punching head. Each of the new attachments for the Ridgid RE6 are capable of 360 degree rotation.
The Ridgid RE6 has an inline design that has been optimized for one handed use. Its cutting, crimping, and punching force are produced from its 6 ton hydraulic output. LED indicators, on board diagnostics, and automatic ram retraction help to keep the RE6 performing at a high level.
The Ridgid RE6 is a 2014 Pro Tool Innovation Award Winner for the Cordless 18V Wire Cutter category. I don’t usually point out commercial ads, but they did a great job with a James Bond style introduction to the RE6.
“The RE 6 is going to be a real game changer for electrical contractors looking to save time, save space and reduce the total amount of tools they carry around,” said Christopher Burton, Global Marketing Manager at RIDGID. “Plus, daily tasks are easier than ever since the interchangeable heads don’t require cumbersome dies, inserts or adapters.”
