New Husqvarna Drill Motors Combine Performance and Connectivity

Husqvarna has redesigned the DM 400 and DM 430 Drill Motors. The design allows the new motors to withstand the toughest drilling applications while still maintaining a footprint that lets you put it exactly where you need it. With new smart features, Husqvarna is so confident in the new products they claim the new core drilling motors are “simply a pleasure to use.”

Husqvarna DM 400 and DM 430 Focus on Performance

The new Husqvarna DM 400 and DM 430 Drill Motors crank out 4.29 hp. They both have a 3-speed gearbox that uses a SmartStart feature to gradually ramp up your RPM. The DM 400 can turn a core bit up to 14 inches in diameter. The DM 430 can handle bits with diameters up to 18 inches. Both drill motors feature an LED load indicator to keep you from overdriving the bit (and thus the motor), as well as a mechanical friction clutch to protect it from bind-ups.

Husqvarna designed the new drill motors for lightweight and compact operation. With an aluminum casing, these machines weigh in at 31 lbs. And, because they’re compact, they can work close to walls and corners easily. The carrying handle detaches to allow for even more clearance.

Embedded Connectivity Updates Husqvarna Fleet Services

The new Husqvarna Drill Motors come equipped with the new Embedded Connectivity. As an enhanced version of the Husqvarna Fleet Services, this software harvests and presents data analytics and insights into the health of your tools. It includes key performance alerts and allows wireless updates of the drill motor’s software to keep it as smart as possible.

Accessories

The Husqvarna DM 400 and DM 430 have been designed to headline for a larger suite of accessories. Husqvarna has aimed for the entire system to match in terms of using top-quality components, with the designs coming together to let you work more effectively, safely, and with greater flexibility.

The new Husqvarna Drill Motors work seamlessly with the DS 500 stand. This, like the drills themselves, has a lightweight and maneuverable design that looks pretty easy to set up. Should you need more track to work with, Husqvarna has designed a drill column that attaches to the Drill Stand. An available slurry ring can attach to the drill motors to help keep the mess contained.

The DM 400 and DM 430 have been designed to work with Husqvarna’s D 1400 series drill bits, including the Z-Edge drill bits. The brand engineered this new line of bits to last longer, increase productivity, and cut more smoothly.
