Milwaukee 12V Right Angle Impact Wrench Tackles Tight Situations
Coming to the brand’s 12V battery platform in June, the Milwaukee M12 Fuel Right Angle Impact Wrench allows you to ditch the hoses while still—by virtue of its size—getting you into those tighter spots. Where your standard pistol grip impact wrenches struggle, the Milwaukee 2564-20 and 2565-20 come to the rescue. Milwaukee accomplishes all of this, as they claim, with “more torque output than any other cordless or pneumatic solution.”

Key Features
The Milwaukee M12 Fuel Right Angle Impact Wrench has a few notable features that allow it to do what it does so well. The first thing revolves around its size and shape. It has a long body profile that, with the battery attached, measures just 14-inches long and 2.5-inches wide.
It also has a low profile head that’s just 2.8-inches deep. This lets it access some spots that would be difficult to manage with a more traditional design—pneumatic or battery.
But all this access won’t be worth a hill of beans if the tool has to sacrifice power to get there. Apparently, that’s not the case. The Milwaukee M12 Fuel right angle impact wrench features a brushless motor that can reach 220 ft-lbs of breakaway torque. It features four modes of drive control for better precision. This includes an Auto-Shut Off Mode to prevent over-fastening. Simply use this mode and then finish off with a torque wrench. You also get a bolt removal mode for breaking loose bolts without sending them flying across the floor.

When completing applications that allow limited access, professionals are limited to using pneumatic or brushed-motor right angle impacts. However, the limited portability and torque associated with these solutions has been a frustration for these users. Due to our extensive research with users on the jobsite and in the shop, we saw an opportunity to create a cordless solution that not only boasts the benefits of no compressors, hoses, and routine maintenance, but is also equipped with a low-profile design and higher torque to tackle these types of applications.
