Growing up, I remember going through all of Dad’s tools in the garage and pretending that I was building something amazing. Without a doubt, the tool that intrigued me the most and had the greatest “cool factor” was his circular saw. Milwaukee is taking the cool factor of Dad’s old circular saw and cranking it up a couple of notches with the Milwaukee M18 FUEL circular saw. Like the brushed Milwaukee M18 2630 circular saw, this new FUEL model has great ergonomics and runs off the company’s RedLithium batteries.

Of course, the first thing I notice over Dad’s old saw is that this one is cordless, like all the tools in the M18 and M18 FUEL series. Incorporating the technologies of the Powerstate Brushless Motor, RedLink Intelligence System, and RedLithium XC 4.0 Battery Packs, the M18 FUEL Circular Saw boasts three times the motor life, twice the run time, and up to 30% faster cutting than the competition.
Milwaukee tells us that, like the other new M18 FUEL products, the Milwaukee M18 FUEL circular saw will be able to perform at levels that previously required a corded model. While this saw can’t replace the fond memories of pretending to build and the first time Dad showed me how to use his, it might just be time to say goodbye to those old corded models and make room for the M18 FUEL.
