Zeus Tools Crossing the Pond as a Word of Mouth Advertiser
European tool manufacturer Zeus Tools is set to make waves as they launch their brand in the US and Canada. They’ll start with a pretty impressive 18V hammer drill/impact driver set—but it’s coming with a promotional twist that is sure to turn heads. We’ll get to that in a moment.

Zeus Tools is relatively new to the market having been founded in 2003. Their brand has had a little bit of trouble getting traction, probably due to their lack of advertising. By avoiding those advertising costs, they claim they can keep prices where people honestly wonder if it’s too good to be true.
The performance of Zeus’ cordless tools is impressive—at least on paper. For example, their hammer drill is coming in at 2100 RPM and 980 inch-pounds of torque. Their 3-speed impact driver is boasting 3000 RPM and 2000 inch pounds of torque. The kit that’s coming our way is going to retail for just $149. That’s a DIY level price for high-end Pro level performance.
The unknown right now is the build quality. It looks solid from the pictures we’ve seen, but we don’t have any to pick up and hold yet. For now, we’ll withhold judgment on that end until we actually see them.
Zeus Tools US Launch Promotion
Even though Zeus uses word of mouth advertising, they’ve got some pretty intelligent people in the upper echelon of their group. After studying the American market for several years, they’ve keyed in on what they think will stir our passions and convince us to part with some of our hard earned money—college football.
Yep, Zeus Tools will be releasing their 18V Hammer Drill/Impact Driver kit as a promotional combo in college colors—complete with university logos and NCAA endorsement. Zeus has identified what they believe to be the top 25 football universities when it comes to fan loyalty. A limited run of 500 kits for each university will be delivered in time for the 2016 Fall Kickoff. An additional 5000 units will come in the company’s standard blue and gold flake color scheme to fill demand in other parts of the country.
The only photos they’ve released so far are of the University of Florida kit in blue and orange, but we’ve asked for photos of more teams as they come available.
