The new Milwaukee M18 Fuel High-Torque Impact Wrench makes a run for King of the Cordless Impact Wrench Hill with 1400 ft-lbs of nut-busting torque. That’s a ton, well, nearly three-quarters of a ton, actually. But still, it’s more than we’ve seen in any other cordless model. On the fastening side of things, you’ll get 1000 ft-lbs of torque in this 4-speed model.
Milwaukee M18 Fuel High-Torque Impact Wrench Key Features
The M18 Fuel High Torque Impact Wrench features four mode Drive Control, allowing the user to apply various power settings. A Bolt Removal Mode provides maximum breakaway torque to remove stubborn nuts and bolts, which shifts down to 750 RPM when the stubborn bolt is broken free.
These second-generation models are 1/2″ smaller than their predecessors, and 7/10″ shorter than other cordless high torque impact wrenches to allow for easier access to tight spaces. They feature a rubber overmold that provides ergonomic support and comfort during prolonged use.
The Milwaukee M18 Fuel High Torque Impact Wrench also features Powerstate Brushless Motors, RedLithium XC5.o Battery Packs, and RedLink Plus Intelligence Hardware and Software for improved run-time, performance, and durability.
What Milwaukee Has To Say
“In 2013, we introduced our first generation of FUEL High Torque Impact Wrenches which disrupted the market by being the first cordless solution that could replace all cordless and corded solutions, and a majority of pneumatic tools, for our users. However, certain applications like rusted and corroded fasteners still called for the performance of pneumatic. Our second-generation M18 FUEL High Torque Impact Wrenches allow users to finally eliminate the hose or cord once and for all. By harnessing the extreme performance of M18 FUEL, we are able to deliver a solution that is powerful enough to replace pneumatic and corded altogether while being the most compact high torque impact wrench in the industry.”
Eric Rusch, Senior Product Manager for Milwaukee Tool
Performance
Clint, Kenny, and Adam had the opportunity to get their hands on the Milwaukee 2767 at the New Product Symposium back in June. There’s no doubt that it’s powerful. That kind of power also comes with a weight cost and a higher price point. Still, it’s an impressive unit, but understandably with more power than most of will use on the jobsite.
We had the chance to put this through its paces in tougher tasks and put it head to head against the other top impact wrenches on the market. So how did it do? Check out our best cordless high-torque impact wrench article to see how it compares to the other big names from the automotive and construction industries!
