The innovative new Milwaukee Force Logic Knockout System is a game changer in terms of how electricians punch holes up to 4 inches in steel as thick as 12 gauge. Yes, Milwaukee is offering a solution that can eliminate carrying around that bulky hydraulic cylinder everywhere you need to punch holes.
The process is improved in several ways. First, the Exact Punch and Die do not need to be connected to the Force Logic Knockout tool when you are setting up the system. Mark where you need the hole to be (a Milwaukee Inkzall is a great choice for that) and use a straight edge to create crosshairs to line up on. As you connect the punch and die together on opposite sides, line up the crosshairs you made with the ones on the punch to ensure that the hole is precisely where you need it to be. There’s no holding a tool connected to a hydraulic cylinder in one hand while positioning the punch and die with the other.
From there, the Quick Connect on the Force Logic Knockout tool can be attached and you’re ready to activate the tool. With the simplicity and power of Milwaukee’s 18 volt system, you’ll wonder how you ever dealt with that hydraulic system for so long. For users that already have punch and die sets, Milwaukee makes an adapter that connects most major brands to the Force Logic 10 Ton Knockout Tool. Have a space that the Knockout System just won’t fit? Milwaukee also offers a Hand Ratchet with 5 degree ratcheting to get the job done.
The draw studs range in size from 3/8″ to 1-1/8″ while the punch/die sets run from 1/2″ to 4″. All of the pieces are available individually, or you can purchase several kits outlined below.
