The Rockwell SoniCrafter multitool is a versatile and efficient multi-function tool. Featuring microsonic oscillation that will help give smooth cuts, this tool can be use for all kinds of cutting, sawing, scraping, shaping, polishing and even removing grout from tile. Since there are an extensive line of accessories available from Rockwell, there should be no problems with working in materials such as plastic, masonry, tile, fiberglass, and wood.
The SoniCrafter is built with a lightweight, yet durable magnesium gear housing and a slim body that features a soft comfortable grip. Currently there are three different kits available. The least expensive kit has a model that does not have a variable speed motor. The other two kits feature multitools with variable speed motors and differ in the amount of additional accessories that they come with.
Given the very reasonable MSRP, we expect this tool to be a pretty popular alternative to what has been otherwise an expensive type of tool to get in the past. In fact, since the Fein Multimaster patent expired this year it seems everyone is jumping on board to put out their own version of the oscillating tool.
Rockwell sells an extensive collection of accessories for their SoniCrafter, all at reasonable prices.
