The Rockwell 5″ vibrafree Random Orbit Sander RK4245K has a number of unique features that help to set it apart from other sanders. Featuring Rockwell’s active vibration canceling technology, this sander reduces user fatigue by cutting the vibration by 50%. This is achieved though the two counter acting sanding pad surfaces that are always spinning in opposite directions.
The base of the sander is made of aluminum to maintain exact flatness and there is a soft, ergonomic palm grip for comfort. The dust collection system consists of a CyclonicDust system that separates the air from the dust which gives 2 times better dust collection. Rather then a cloth dust bag, a clear dust chamber is used so you can see how full it is and features a easy to empty flap on the back. With a better dust collection system and the reduction in vibration, there is a significant gain in how fast material is removed.
