Tradesmen have a new Porter-Cable Impact Driver to look forward to including in their toolbox. The PCE210 features a 7.5 amp motor with a 1/2 inch chuck that secures attachments with a Hog Ring Anvil.
Performance output of the latest Porter-Cable Impact Driver starts with 2200 RPMs. It delivers 240 foot-pounds of torque and up to 2700 impacts per minute. A cast metal gear housing helps to dissipate the heat generated during use. While the performance stats aren’t up there with high end corded impact drivers, that’s not what this model was intended to be.
Porter-Cable’s Will Granger, Product Manager, had this to say about the PCE210: “Tradesmen have expressed the need for performance and ergonomics without the high price tag of similar corded drivers on the market. The Impact Wrench delivers the performance they need at the value they desire.”
In the 7.5 amp power class, there isn’t much competition at the Porter-Cable PCE210’s $119 price point. There are other more expensive units with higher specs as well as lower-priced models with more modest specs. It seems that Porter-Cable may be settling into a sweet spot between those two and offering an affordable corded impact driver with respectable performance for most tasks.
