Hilti PR 30-HVS is Designed for Serious Drop Protection
The Hilti PR 30-HVS is a new addition to the high end job site laser class. What I love about this new rotating laser is the fact that Hilti understands the investment you make as a business owner in purchasing top of the line equipment. As a result, they’ve taken protection to the next level with the design. The housing features an IP66 rating and the handles are designed to act as shock absorbers. The rotating speed of the Hilti PR 30-HVS is 600 rotations per minute. It features accuracy of plus or minus 0.03 inches at a distance of 33 feet. When paired with the included laser receiver, it has a maximum operating diameter of 1640 feet. In addition to typical leveling and aligning duties, the digital slope entry makes grading tasks easier.
The laser is covered under Hilti’s lifetime service agreement and calibration services. It begins with a 2 year No-Cost Coverage period, including shipping both ways. At the end of 2 years, you’ll receive a voucher to give you a discount (between $75 – $1000) if you wish to trade the tool in and upgrade. If you hang on to your tool, the service agreement guarantees that the cost of repairs, including a complete overhaul, will not exceed 30% of the original list price.
Hilti recommends that you check the accuracy of your laser at least annually, and send it in for calibration as needed. They provide written confirmation of the calibration in the case that it is required.
