If you are, or know, a hobbyist with a Dremel Tool you can’t really go wrong with the Dremel Rotary Tool Accessories Kit 730-01. It delivers all sorts of polishing, grinding, and carving tools to satisfy nearly any project DIYer. Know your audience, however, as this won’t be the perfect gift for that heavy-duty woodworker who uses the Dremel rotary tool for custom routing or shaping.
The General Purpose Dremel accessory kit (730-01) set comes with lots of goodies for cutting, grinding, carving and engraving. The case is reusable, and the tray can even be removed should you want to add more accessories and bits later. It would be a perfect match for the Dremel 8200-1 cordless rotary tool or the Dremel Micro 8050.

Note that a ton of those 52 bits are actually emery cut-off wheels, but you’re also likely to use a lot of those wheels in the course of, say, cutting into metal. The larger emery cut-off wheels (not included in this particular package) are great for taking the heads of stubborn, stripped screws or frozen bolts.
The thinner-duty ones included in the 52-piece Dremel accessory kit can be used for other cut-off or small grinding purposes that aren’t quite as heavy-duty (smaller nails, etc). There are 36 for a reason, they are brittle and will break easily – but are very handy to have around.
Final Thoughts
The Dremel accessory kit really does cover a wide assortment of bits and applications. It’s a great choice for the money and we found it to make a lot of sense to have in your collection or acquire for your favorite hobbyist.
