Strauss x 1620 Workwear Technical Work Pants Basics
Work pant design is one of the things Europe does very well. In fact, they stayed ahead of American design for a long time. Part of that is almost certainly due to Europe’s deep appreciation for high-quality apprenticeships that lead to true masters in the trades.
It’s no surprise that workwear companies are motivated to make sure European tradesmen and tradeswomen have workwear that becomes part of their system of tools, and Strauss is a trusted name in workwear design. The fact that Strauss is on the design side of these work pants is genuinely exciting to me.
The other side is 1620 Workwear. Their Made in the USA workwear is known for its high quality and innovative materials. In particular, NYCO fabric blends cotton and synthetic materials that get the best of both worlds and maintain high durability.
With Strauss’ design and 1620’s Stretch NYCO twill at the heart of these work pants, I’m already thinking, “Take my money!” But you might like some more details, so let’s dig deeper.
There are two pant types. They’re essentially the same, but the Multipocket version doesn’t have kneepad pockets and the Worker version does. Check out the rest of the details below.
