Ridgid’s K9-12 FlexShaft Provides Wall-to-Wall Clearing of Common Pipe Clogs
If you’re a homeowner looking to cut down on plumber visits because of a pipe clogging issue, or a professional plumber searching for something smaller for residential work, Ridgid has the answer with the K9-12 FlexShaft. As the smallest machine in Ridgid’s FlexShaft system, we’re looking at how its design makes for a quick and efficient solution to leave pipes good as new.
Ridgid K9-12 FlexShaft Performance
- Model: Ridgid 74978
- Clears up to 30 feet of 1 1/4-inch to 2-inch pipes
- Chain knocker fully expands inside pipe for wall-to-wall clearing
- Powered by any standard cordless drill (1800-2500 RPM)
- Fully-enclosed housing for less mess
The K9-12 FlexShaft houses a 30-foot cable to clear clogs and restore flow to up to 30 feet of piping. It features a chain knocker that fully expands inside the pipe for wall-to-wall clearing of 1-1/4-inch to 2-inch pipes and drains.
Like Ridgid’s K9-102 and K9-204 FlexShaft machines, the K9-12 nixes the cord, instead opting to use a cordless drill for power. You can use any standard cordless drill with speeds between 1800 and 2500 RPM. Attaching your drill to the input shaft on the housing spins the cable, and the attached chain knocker clears the pipes, leaving them free-flowing.
