Lighter and More Compact Performance
We hear that the Ridgid R8711B Sub-compact hammer drill weighs 30% less than (what we assume to be) the Ridgid 18V hammer drill. With its significantly smaller frame, this hammer drill can get into places your standard 18V model probably can’t…or at least, not comfortably.
Despite its size, it still spits out formidable performance, according to the company. The R8711B features a brushless motor that generates up to 400 in-lbs of torque.
For matching power to your application, the Ridgid R8711B features a 2-speed gearbox and a 24-position clutch.
We expect the Ridgid 18V Sub-Compact Hammer Drill to hit the shelves of your local Home Depot Q3 of 2020. Pricing has yet to be announced, but we expect it to fall in the neighborhood of the existing Gen 5X hammer drill.
