Ryobi 18V One+ High Performance Edge Battery

Starting off strong with some new battery technology, Ryobi hit the ground running in the summer with a tabless battery design. The Edge batteries feature tabless 21700 cells, which help the batteries deliver more power while running cooler compared to standard Ryobi batteries.

They also expand the runtime capabilities in 18V One+ HP Brushless tools. More runtime is always a good thing for battery-powered tools, and the cooler temperatures mean we can push the tools harder with a reduced risk of overheating and overloading the battery.

Ryobi 18V One+ Bucket Top Wet Dry Vacuum

Have a 5-gallon bucket lying around? With the 18V Bucket-Top Vacuum, you can transform it into a vacuum canister in seconds to help you pick up both wet and dry debris. When I got my hands on this tool earlier this year, my first thought was, “Why hasn’t this been done before? In fact, Ryobi is the only major power tool brand to introduce a bucket-top vacuum to its lineup at the time of writing.

Since it’s part of the 18V One+ battery platform, you’re also not going to be tethered to a power outlet while you work. It features a respectable 45 CFM airflow rating and comes with a 4-foot flexible hose with a 1.25-inch diameter.

These screwdriver heads give you plenty of capabilities to fasten in tight spaces, like under cabinets or awkward furniture pieces.

Ryobi 40V 24-inch Cordless Hedge Trimmer

Jumping into the outdoor power equipment category, Ryobi introduced the 40V 24-inch Hedge Trimmer in 2024. It has a 1-inch cut capacity, meaning you can slice through thicket branches and limbs than most standard hedge trimmers. There’s even a HedgeSweep attachment that makes it easy to remove cuttings and clippings from your working area.

Ryobi tells us this hedge trimmer has the same power level as a 19cc gas model. Using the kitted 2.0Ah battery, you should be able to trim for around 45 minutes per charge.

18V One+ PSBCW01 Pruning Chainsaw

While Ryobi has had a pruning chainsaw in its 18V lineup for a while, the PSBCQW01 8-inch pruning saw offers the highest performance yet compared to past iterations. It features a brushless motor that supports an 8-inch bar and chain, letting it cut through branches up to 6 inches in diameter. Using a 2.0Ah battery, you can expect to get up to 65 cuts per charge.

40V HP Brushless 16-inch Carbon Fiber Shaft String Trimmer

Ryobi’s 40V Carbon Fiber Shaft String Trimmer has all of the bells and whistles that homeowners need to maintain their property. This model puts performance on center stage, with a brushless motor that produces as much power as a 27cc gas trimmer. As the name suggests, it has a durable, lightweight carbon fiber shaft. It’s also compatible with a variety of attachments, like Ryobi’s Expand-It line, as well as other universal attachments.

Additionally, you can configure the cutting swath between 14 and 16 inches, and that 16-inch width comes in handy for trimming larger areas. Ryobi tells us you can expect runtimes of up to 45 minutes with a 4.0Ah battery.

40V HP Brushless 18-inch Chainsaw

Ryobi offers several chainsaws in its 18V lineup, but this model (the RY40HPCW01) is the brand’s most powerful model to date. It delivers the same power as a 40cc gas chainsaw, and an 18-inch bar and chain lets you cut trees up to 32 inches in diameter. It includes a premium full-house chain for longer runtimes and faster cutting than we saw in previous Ryobi chainsaws. Using the kitted 6.0Ah battery, you can make up to 90 cuts on a single charge.

3-in-1 TriPower Tripod LED Light

The TriPower Tripod LED Light is the first of its kind for Ryobi. It has three ways in which you can power it, accepting both 18V and 40V batteries as well as an extension cord for all-day runtime. It extends to up to 7 feet in height via a telescoping pole, and the tripod design ensures stability no matter what height you keep it at. This tool includes a 4-panel light that connects to the top, and it’s also compatible with a variety of other lighting, audio, and air movement tools.
