Okay, I realize that this isn’t exactly a “professional level” tool, but before you deduct points from my man card, just know that this was a little too much fun to ignore! The Pocket Monkey (insert inevitable locker room humor here) is 12 tools built into one piece that is small and thin enough to fit in your wallet, as well as TSA compliant for your flight to the STAFDA Convention this November in Charlotte.
The Pocket Monkey features functions that are handy as well as some that are unique. Among the handy design considerations are flat head screwdriver, Phillips head screwdriver, micro screwdriver, hex wrenches, straight edge, and ruler, all with obvious applications. Features that you might not expect to find on a traditional multi-tool but are certainly worth having include a letter opener and door latch slip (for retrieving your keys when you’ve locked yourself out, NOT for getting into your neighbor’s garage!). Moving on to the unique and questionably useful, but nonetheless novel, are the orange peeler, banana nicker, and cell phone kickstand. Although, if you’re planning on reading Pro Tool Reviews on your smart phone while peeling an orange, you’ll need two Pocket Monkeys! Finally, because it’s been a long day, the designers were kind enough to engineer a bottle opener to get into that frothy beverage that tells us the work day is over.
So there you have it, the Pocket Monkey in a nutshell… or banana peel. It retails for $12 or you can get a 10 pack for $95. Ten Pocket Monkeys jumping on a bed… oh, never mind. For more information or to purchase the Pocket Monkey direct, visit Zootility Tools’ website.
