General Plumbing Supply of Edison, NJ was honored by Buddy Valastro of Carlo’s Bakery in Hoboken, NJ. Now what makes this news (OK, at least WE think so) is that Buddy is the star of the TV show “Cake Boss” – and he designed an “edible” full-size toilet cake that actually flushes through the use of an internal pump. Now, I don’t know about you, but it would take an extreme act of faith to take that first bite. In fact, I could barely stomach a normal cake with all that thick fondant (taste like shoe leather if you ask me) let alone a cake made to look like a toilet – and with a functioning flush!
The cake was presented to fourth generation family members Ian Ebner and Justin Freedman for the wholesaler’s 100th anniversary. The cake presentation was scheduled to air on cable channel TLC in early February. General Plumbing Supply has 11 locations in north and central New Jersey and six bath and kitchen showrooms.
So, anyone for a piece of delicious toilet cake?
