Pros spoke, and Skilsaw listened. Skilsaw just introduced the next generation of pizza cutters, capable of ripping through the deepest Chicago-style pies with ease. Featuring a custom blade, Skilsaw is taking innovation to a delicious new level with the new Skilsaw pizza cutter. The saw uses a proprietary 2.25-inch blade on a magnesium body and can cut even the deepest dish pizzas. As far as small hand-powered circular saws go, this one should really perform.
Skilsaw Pizza Cutter Features
Unlike traditional pizza cutters, the Skilsaw blade “scores” your pizza as it cuts, so you avoid the traditional edge folding that occurs with a smooth blade. While Skilsaw claims a 1-inch depth of cut, we think the practical use will be a little more about avoiding sinking the arbor bolt into your pizza. The Skilsaw pizza cutter uses a new Anti-Stick EasyRoll™ mechanism, designed to allow it to easily glide through up to six layers of cheese and cut pepperoni up to 3/32″ in thickness. We’re looking forward to trying it out on some thin-crust gawain—my standard test bed for any pizza-cutting tool.
Conclusion
One thing is for sure—the Skilsaw pizza cutter would have been a big hit in our 2016 Father’s Day tool gift guide last year. We’re looking forward to really checking this new tool out!
