After recently being honored as an NJATC Platinum Level Training Partner and receiving the 2010 NECA Industry Partner of the Year award, Milwaukee Electric Tool seems to be pursuing its commitment to the electrical trade industry by investing in the future of test and measurement training. At the National Training Institute (NTI) graduation ceremonies in Ann Arbor, MI, the NJATC announced that they have entered into a long-term agreement with Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation to develop and implement a blended learning system for NJATC, IBEW, and NECA members. Leveraging state-of-the-art simulation and 3D technology, subject matter expertise of the NJATC, and Milwaukee test and measurement products, this learning system will become the new benchmark for developing the knowledge, skills, and ability for the correct use of test and measurement equipment.
“Milwaukee Electric Tool has established a new standard for companies doing business in the electrical industry. Their commitment and support of e-learning for our members and electrical contractors is unprecedented. Their action today will help to ensure that future generations of electrical workers will have access to state-of-the-art e-learning resources.”
– Michael Callanan, Executive Director of the NJATC
Through this new joint venture Milwaukee will work with the NJATC to develop a blended learning test and measurement academy. All training modules will use “life-like” animation of Milwaukee test and measurement equipment and include information on product applications, safe work practices, code and standards references, field applications, and troubleshooting. “We are extremely proud to partner with the NJATC to develop an educational tool for future generations of apprentices, journeymen and electrical contractors,” says Steven Richman, President of Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation. “Since launching a complete line of test and measurement products in 2009, we remain focused on educating and training Electricians to increase their productivity and safety.”
