Hera Lighting is at the 2012 IWF (International Woodworking Fair) and released a couple new LED lights that we found interesting. The Hera Lighting ER-LED (round) and Hera Lighting EQ-LED (square) are surface-mount LED lights with arrays of 18-20 LEDs which are approximately 3″ in diameter. The lights can be driven by a 24 VDC LED controller and are dimmable with an optional LED dimmer/controller. They seem perfect as under cabinet lighting or even as accent lighting for covered decking or about anything else you can imagine. They are rated to 30,000 hours and use only 1.2W, so you can get a ton of light with only minimal power usage.
Hera Lighting EQ-LED Features
The Hera Lighting EQ-LED lights and ER-LED have a stainless steel finish and you can get them with cool white or warm LEDs. They are also extremely flat, with the ER-LED measuring just 5/16″ thick and the EQ-LED only 3/8″. Each light comes with a 98″ long connecting cable with plug-in connector so you can place them just about anywhere – and you can purchase additional LED connecting cables in 39″ and 98″ lengths.
The new lights are available now and are compatible with Hera 24 V LED switching accessories.
