Later this month we’ll see a brand new line of saw blades aimed squarely at the trim carpenter. DeWalt is announcing its new Precision Trim Saw Blades. The redesigned blades offer more accuracy, 2X more carbide, reduced tear out and a smoother cut when compared to DeWalt’s construction series of blades. The DeWalt precision trim saw blades are perfect for trim carpenters and we liked some of the stand-out features, like the additional grind on the tooth face (which is thankfully not painted, by the way) and the new carbide tips that are twice as large as the Construction Series. We also noted that DeWalt employed a new vibration-reducing plate technology on these blades. Like the new 2X Longer Life Reciprocating Saw Blades, these new circular blades are sporting a slick new black motif.
DeWalt Precision Trim Saw Blades Features
The new DeWalt Precision Trim Saw Blades look to be 60 tooth in the 10″ models and 24 tooth in the 7-1/4″ models, though we’re not sure if that is the limit or just the examples in the graphic. Seems like an 80 tooth model would be imminent. Check out this video for a sneak peek at the new blades:
The new DeWalt Precision Trim Saw Blades will be available in 7-1/4″, 10” and 12” diameters. These blades look pretty darn good and this is an area where DeWalt needed some improvement, so we’re glad to see the new developments and can’t wait to test them out.
So far, pricing seems to be right around $19.95 for the new blades in 7-1/4 size (60T).
