You know when you see something, but you’re not sure if its cool, or just terribly over-designed? The CLEANCut Paper Towel Dispenser is kind of like that. In fact, we’re STILL trying to figure out if we’d buy it because it works so well, or because it’s just fascinating enough to be the greatest kitchen-centered conversation piece you’re likely to ever own. It’s like those refrigerators with LED displays and Wi-Fi built in. They’re obscenely over-engineered, but their still pretty cool to play with.
CLEANCut Paper Towel Dispenser Features
The CLEANCut is a device that, quite simply, uses any type of standard paper towel roll and then allows you to advance it and cut it using photo-electric beam relays… That’s fancy for “wave your hand to roll it out, wave your hand somewhere else to tell it to cut”. But in a nutshell, that’s the CLEANCut. It’s new, innovative, and completely ridiculous unless you just love that sort of thing.
And, come on, admit it… you sort of do. The CLEANCut Paper Towel Dispenser starts at $139.95 and comes in White or Black or you can opt for the stainless model for $20 more. Here are the basic features:
- White, Black or Stainless steel accent strip
- Use your favorite brand of paper towel
- State of the art LED technology for fast and easy one hand operation
- Prevents cross contamination
- Dispense and cut to any length regardless of perforation
- Safe and reliable self sharpening cutter
- Simple to install under the cabinet
- Dimensions: 16″ x 6.5″ x 11.5″
- Weight: 6.6lbs
CLEANCut Paper Towel Dispenser Installation and Use
Installation was indeed easy, largely because all of the required hardware was included and there was a full template for the mounting holes we drill into the cabinet from above. The CLEANCut Paper Towel Dispenser is extremely safe and secure when properly installed and it wasn’t long before we just loaded up a roll of paper towels (not included, lol) and tested it out.
Well, whatdya know – it worked perfectly right from the get-go.
Touch free paper towel dispensing. It may not be impressive to you, but if you’ve ever attended one of my barbecue parties or eaten hot wings with the guys, you’ll discover very quickly how convenient it truly is. Add to that a house full of sick children and it doubles down. At $140 or $160 for the stainless upgrade the CLEANCut Paper Towel Dispenser isn’t cheap, but this isn’t being marketed to people who would have trouble dropping that kind of money on a device that’s this interesting. Conversation piece, health-saving device, convenience tool – you decide, but the CLEANCut Paper Towel Dispenser is certainly interesting and one of a kind.
