Robert Bosch Tool Corp. recalled about 20,000 Bosch hammer drills because the grounding system and trigger system could create a electrical shock hazard and the drill’s switch can get stuck in the “on” position, the Consumer Product Safety Council (CPSC) said. The drills were sold at home improvement, hardware and retail stores nationwide from September 2009 through August 2010 for between $140 and $220. Consumers should return the drill to the company for repair. CPSC lists the model numbers affected by the recall as:
- Bosch 1/2 inch 2-Speed Hammer Drill with model number HD19-2, HD19-2D, HD19-2L
- Bosch 1/2 inch 2-Speed Hammer Drills with model number HD 21-2
