The Bosch IXO Swarovski Crystals Drill is a limited-edition 2.5V (yes you read that correctly) hand-held pistol-grip screwdriver that is studded with Swarovski crystals. Bosch allowed this “bling” version to be made with 460 Swarovski crystals to celebrate the fact that it was named the world’s best-selling power tool. While not wildly popular in the US market, Bosch sold over 10 million of these screwdrivers since it debuted back in 2003. This special edition glitzy crystal studded version is going to be limited to just 2,000 units. If the tool looks familiar it’s because the tool has been out under the company’s Skil brand as well.

This is the same driver that Bosch allowed to be marketed as the VINO with exclusive corkscrew attachment and wooden box/case. Bosch seems to be having waaaay too much fun with this product, but considering its success, I suppose we can cut them some slack.
Oh, and the price? A mere $470. That’s only about $188 per volt! Since the IXO is marketed and sold under the Skil brand here in the US, I wonder if we can expect a Swarovski Skil tool next?
