Kobalt 24V XTR Tools and Batteries

Kobalt 24V Max XTR cordless power tools make up the company’s most powerful line of Kobalt tools yet. They boast up to 50% better performance and add more DIY/Pro-focused features. They also present a great value and stay backward-compatible with all 24V Max batteries.

These 24V Max XTR tools include a drill/driver, a hammer drill, a 1/4-in. impact driver, a reciprocating saw, a 7-1/4-in. circular saw, a 1/2-in. impact wrench, and a couple of combo kits. You’ll find the new additions to the platform at your local Lowe’s hardware store or online.

Kobalt KXDD 1424A-03 24V Max Drill Driver Kit

The brushless motor on this XTR Drill Driver delivers up to 1,200 in-lbs of torque to the job at hand. It features a compact design to let you work in tighter spaces. It has a two-speed gearbox to let you select between low (0-550 rpm) and high (0-2,000 rpm) settings.

Because of the impressive amount of torque, Kobalt added anti-kickback technology to the XTR drill/driver. This shuts down the tool when it senses sudden bind-ups, keeping your arms safe from what could likely be a terrible wrenching. We first saw this in flagship Bosch drills some years ago. This technology has yet to make its way into several Pro brands. Kobalt really seems to be aggressively targeting tradesmen with these new tools.

KXHD 1424A-03 24V Max Brushless Hammer Drill Kit

The Kobalt XTR Hammer Drill features a brushless motor that produces up to 1,200 in-lbs of torque and 3,200 bpm. A two-speed gearbox lets you select your speed. At low speed, this hammer drill can run between 0-550 rpm, while in high speed, you can push that up to 2,000 rpm.

It also features anti-kickback technology to keep you safe during bind-ups. A locking 1/2″ metal chuck makes bit changes quick and easy. An LED work light on the base of the handle lights up your workspace.

Kobalt KXID 1424A-03 Brushless 1/4″ Impact Driver Kit

The Kobalt XTR Impact Driver has 3 speed settings, with the high speed topping out at 3,400 rpm. An assist mode helps you avoid cam out and cross-threading. The brushless motor produces up to 2,400 in-lbs of torque and up to 4,000 impacts per minute.

This driver is compact for better access to tighter spots, and the 1/4 quick-release collet allows for fast bit changes. By the numbers, this impact driver is a force to be reckoned with!

Kobalt’s XTR Recip saw can generate up to 3,100 strokes per minute at 1-1/4″ stroke lengths. It features a brushless motor and an orbital action mode for removing material quickly. Anti-vibration tech lets you work longer without fatigue.

Kobalt KXCS 124B-03 24V Brushless XTR 7-1/4″ Circular Saw

The Kobalt XTR 7-1/4″ Circular Saw produces up to 5,500 RPM, and an electronic brake stops the blade quickly when releasing the trigger. At 90°, you get a cut depth of 2-1/2″, and the saw allows for 0-56° bevel cuts.

For convenience, Kobalt has added a rafter hook, while an LED work light helps you see the line you’re cutting. This saw comes with a 24T framing blade. A dust port lets you connect to a Kobalt 24V 3-gallon shop vac or third-party dust extractor.
