A Roundup of New DeWalt 20V Max XR Drills and Impact Drivers
Cordless drills and impact drivers are everywhere and it seems that new ones are coming out every week. Whenever this happens, we have to ask, “what’s the big deal with this one?” The newest DeWalt 20V Max XR Drills and Impact Driver are no exception. They’re compact models, which typically involves making a trade-off between lightweight compact design and power.
DeWalt has been on a tear in the past couple of years producing new cordless tools that have been quickly moving through the ranks toward the top of the class. Just take a look at our recent Heavy Duty Drill Shootout. Despite coming in with the second lowest torque of the group, it came out ahead of the rest of the competition in its class. The only drills to finish ahead were in the new 1000+ inch pounds of torque class.
It’s no surprise that the new DeWalt 20V Max XR Drills are boasting more powerful brushless motors that deliver up to 30% greater application speeds. They’ve also improved the ergonomics. Despite their compact nature, these new DeWalt 20V Max XR Drills and Impact Driver are rated for heavy duty use with improved durability.
