Milwaukee has introduced the M18 Compact Blower (0884-20) as a part of the ever increasing M18 family of cordless power tools. This blower is designed to be a lightweight and ergonomic solution to workplace cleanup. My first thought when I saw the Milwaukee M18 Compact Blower was to wonder how necessary a tool like this would be given the prevalence of integrated dust extraction on so many of our tools. Let’s be honest though, it’s not always practical or convenient to bring the entire system along on every job and some of our favorite tools don’t include that feature.
For performance, the Milwaukee M18 Compact Blower delivers 100 cubic feet per minute (CFM) at 160 MPH making it the class leader in cordless compact blowers. Power control features include a variable speed trigger, 3 speed electronic switch, and optional lock-on switch. The blower runs on any of the M18 lithium-ion batteries, but it worth noting that a battery and charger are not included with purchase.

While the Milwaukee M18 Compact Blower isn’t powerful enough to blow the leaves out of your yard or to be useful for professional mowing services, it certainly makes us wonder if Milwaukee is testing the waters of the outdoor power equipment side of the tool industry. We’ll be very interested to see if they come out with anything this year specifically for that sector.
