There are actually three individual impact wrenches being added to the M12 Fuel platform— two 1/2-inch models and a 3/8-inch model. One of the 1/2-inch models has a pin detent anvil and the other two models feature friction ring anvils.
Milwaukee tells us these impact wrenches are the first right-angle impact wrenches on the market to feature brushless motors. They provide a power output of up to 220 ft-lbs of nut-busting torque and 200 ft-lbs of fastening torque, giving you more power on tough jobs.
For speeds, all three models reach up to 3000 RPM at the top end and achieve max impact rates of up to 3600 IPM. You can control your speed and impact rate with the tool’s 4-mode drive control, and a variable speed trigger lets you further adjust your speed for the application at hand.

This tool has a lightweight, compact design, at just 3.25 pounds bare and an inline length of around 14 inches. This design makes it easier to access tight areas such as engine bays and tight corners that you might have trouble reaching with traditional impact wrenches.
Additionally, an LED work light above the trigger illuminates your work area. The tool’s forward/reverse switch is also easily accessible using your thumb, letting you seamlessly switch rotational direction.

The 1/2-inch pin detent impact wrench retails for $219, and the 1/2-inch and 3/8-inch friction ring models retail for $199. There are also kits for the latter two models that include two M12 2.0Ah batteries, a charger, and a carrying case for $349.
