Metabo HPT Expands MultiVolt Lineup with Industry-First Cordless Duplex Nailer

Metabo HPT (the artist formerly known as Hitachi) has a pretty solid reputation for making excellent nailers. That being the case, it shouldn’t surprise anyone that they’ve continued to innovate by releasing an industry-first: the Metabo HPT Cordless Duplex Nailer. It runs on the brand’s 36V MultiVolt battery platform. In fact, the PTIA crew felt it was so forward-thinking that it received a 2020 Pro Tool Innovation Award.

Nails for Days

Anyone who makes concrete forms knows the importance of a duplex nailer. These tools work great for automating nailing tasks where the nail eventually needs to be removed. Speed and Supported Nails

It drives 2 nails per second with a pneumatic-like feel. As mentioned earlier, there’s zero ramp-up time. You simply turn on the nailer and get at it.

The Metabo HPT NR3675DD Duplex Nailer accepts 6D, 8D, and 16D plastic strip collated Duplex nails. It can drive 16D duplex nails up to 3″, 8D duplex nails up to 2-1/4″, and 6D nails up to 1-3/4″.

The Metabo HPT Cordless Duplex Nailer comes with a dry-fire lockout system and a tool-less drive depth adjustment. You’d think those would be standard features on all products—but we keep finding nailers without one or the other. The NR3675DD also features selective actuation so you can fire in bump mode or sequential mode.
