As they expand their MultiVolt lineup, they’ve added one more to the fleet – the Metabo HPT 1 1/32-Inch SDS Plus Rotary Hammer (DH1826DAQ4).

Metabo HPT 1 1/32-Inch Rotary Hammer Performance and Design
If you’re not already familiar with this line of products, there are two variants – the SDS Plus and the SDS Max. The difference between the two comes down to shank and maximum bit sizes and, thus, drilling capability.
The SDS Plus has a 10mm shank, and the Max has an 18mm. As such, SDS Plus bits are generally better for lighter-duty jobs.
The Metabo HPT 1 1/32-inch SDS Plus runs on an 18V or 18V/36V MultiVolt battery and features a brushless motor. Together, the two deliver 2.3 ft-lbs. of impact energy, 950 RPM, and 4,300 BPM.

Metabo HPT has kept several features consistent throughout its rotary hammer models, including the 1 1/32-inch SDS Plus.
For example, like the DH3640DAQ2 and the DH3628DDQ4 models, the 1-1/32 tool uses the brand’s Reactive Force Control (RFC) technology. Simply put, RFC helps boost the safety factor, stopping the tool’s rotation in the event of bit binding.
