Makita Grows Its 40V Brushless Impact Driver Lineup With The GDT02
Makita designed its 40V lineup to offer optimum power for heavier-load applications without sacrificing runtime. Adding to the 40V impact driver roster is the Makita GDT02, and we’re taking a look at its features and specs so you know what to expect from this tool.
Makita GDT02 Impact Driver Performance

While the GDT02 isn’t Makita’s most powerful 40V impact driver, 1860 in-lbs of torque is nothing to scoff at. This impact driver achieves a maximum speed of 3700 RPM with four speed settings in between (0-1,100/ 0-2,100/ 0-3,200/ 0-3,700 RPM). Plus, you get an impact rate of 4100 IPM at the top end to help tackle those tough jobs.
Like the previous model (GDT01), the GDT02 features a digitally-controlled Tightening Mode, or T-Mode, which provides faster tightening of self-drilling screws.
