Makita offers two mid-torque impact wrenches, although the only thing that sets them apart is a difference in anvil design (more on that later).
The GWT07Z and GWT08Z impact wrenches each offer up to 560 ft-lbs of fastening torque and 810 ft-lbs of nut-busting torque thanks to their brushless motors and Makita’s XGT technology.
A 4-speed power selection helps you choose the right speed for the job, with max speeds of 2300 RPM. For impact rates, you’ll see up to 2900 IPM on the highest setting. A variable speed trigger lets you adjust your speed even further within your chosen power selection.
These impact wrenches also employ the same Full-Speed Mode that we saw in Makita’s high-torque models. This mode further enhances efficiency by reducing the trigger pull needed to reach full speed.
