Makita Adds High-Torque 3/4-inch Model to 40V Impact Wrench Lineup
Heavy-duty jobs require heavy-duty tools. Makita’s 40V XGT impact wrench lineup left a bit to be desired in the high-torque realm, that is, until now. The GWT01 Makita 3/4-Inch Impact Wrench promises higher performance and durability, and we’re looking at what it brings to the table for tradesmen who need more power on the job.

The Makita GWT01 impact wrench delivers up to 1510 ft-lbs of nut-busting torque and 1330 ft-lbs of fastening torque thanks to its brushless motor. With a four-speed power selection, you can set your speeds from 0-950 RPM / 0-1,150 RPM / 0-1,400 RPM / 0-1,800 RPM. A variable speed trigger lets you further control the speed output.
As for impact rates, this tool gets a corresponding 0-1,900 IPM / 0-2,200 IPM / 0-2,400 IPM/ 0-2,500 IPM.
This impact wrench also features three forward and three reverse Auto-Stop modes that offer more efficiency by stopping the rotation as soon as the fasteners are loosened. Full-Speed mode further enhances efficiency by reducing the trigger pull needed to reach full speed.

Additionally, dual LED lights provide ample lighting for low-light work conditions. One light is located underneath the anvil and the other is on the tool’s foot to give you two separate light sources.
