Give Your Multi-Tool Stylish Function With A Genuine Leather Sheath
I’ve owned different Leatherman multi-tools since I bought my first more than 20 years ago and every single one lived in my pocket. Thanks to the Leatherman Ainsworth EDC Premium Leather Sheath, there’s a stylish way to keep your multi-tool (and other gear) conveniently close.
Leatherman Ainsworth EDC Premium Leather Sheath Design
As I’m sitting here typing, I have the Ainsworth attached to my Red Wing Heritage belt (which I highly recommend), and the smell of both genuine leather products makes me smile. It’s attractive, too, with a medium brown color that goes with just about anything.
Slots on the left and right are for threading your belt. While clips are more convenient, threading onto your belt ensures there’s no way your sheath is going to come off.
The sheath has three sections to it: A small holster, medium holster, and clip. You’re only limited by your imagination and the size of the openings. Of course, the medium section is designed around the size of several Leatherman multi-tools. Here’s what easily fits:
- Wingman
- Sidekick
- Rev
- Skeletool
- Surge
- Signal
- Charge+
- Crunch
- OHT
- Wave
- Free P2
- Free P4
- Bond
- Curl
The clip is great for keys and the smaller holster works well for a pen, small flashlight, or a multitude of other small-diameter objects.
Keep in mind that even though the leather is stiff out of the box, proper care and wear will soften it over time and the pouches will accept the shape of what you store in them more easily.
Leatherman Ainsworth EDC Premium Leather Sheath Price
Leatherman has several different sheaths to choose from. This model runs $84.95 and is a bit less than some of the party products with a similar design.
The Bottom Line
The Leatherman Ainsworth EDC sheath is made from leather, it looks great, it’s built great, and it smells great. Unless you prefer a clipping sheath to one that threads on your belt, it’s a great way to add stylish functionality to the most versatile hand tool you carry.
