Knipex Pipe Cutters Cut Clean and Easy in a Broader Range of Materials
Just this month, Knipex Tools has introduced two Pipe Cutters that cover a range of materials. The 90 25 185 model tackles your plastic composite pipes while the 90 10 185 pipe cutter works with multilayer and pneumatic hoses.
Knipex Pipe Cutters
Knipex designed the 90 25 185 to cut cleanly and easily through both aluminum composite and plastic pipes between 1/2″ and 1″ in diameter. The blade uses a specialized design that produces clean, burr-free cut surfaces.
Knipex made the 90 10 185 Pipe Cutters to tackle all liquid, multilayer, and pneumatic hoses between 3/16 to 3/4-inches in diameter. It features support base plates that hold your hose at a perfect right angle in relation to the blade. This helps in producing clean and even cuts consistently.
Ergonomics and Use
The Knipex Pipe Cutters both measure 7-1/4″ in total length. They both feature tough fiberglass-reinforced plastic handles. A spring assists with opening the jaws, particularly helpful for repetitive cutting. Lastly, a handle lock keeps the cutters secure when not in use.
The blades are made from oil-hardened and tempered high-strength special grade steel. When they begin to wear out, you can easily slide them out of the pipe cutters to replace them.
Knipex is careful to warn users that, while these pipe cutters are highly effective when used with the materials they were designed for, neither should be used to cut cables.

From what we can see so far, the Knipex Composite Pipe Cutters should sell for around $75. You can expect to pay a little more for the multi-layer pneumatic hose pipe cutter—around $88. With specialty tools, it’s all about saving time and money while you work. Hopefully, these two new cutters from Knipex accomplish just that.
