We’ve got our hands on the latest Klein Pocket Laser Level to see how it compares to its full-sized counterparts.

The Klein Pocket Laser Level offers all day runtime and great visibility when working in smaller spaces. It has a max throw of 30 feet with accuracy up to +/- 3/8 inches at that distance.
Klein tells us this pocket laser level is great for indoor and outdoor applications thanks to the IP54 ingress rating and rugged design. I did have some difficulty seeing the red beam in direct sunlight, but I had a much better results after moving inside our shop. This compact laser level weighs in at 7 ounces and measures 4.25 inches in length. The swiveling magnetic base features a pair of magnets that won’t easily slide on steel studs, junction boxes, and conduit. On the base, there’s also a 1/4-inch threaded tripod mount and two keyhole cutouts so it can hang on non-ferrous surfaces.
Looking at the tool body, 3-axis bubble vials illuminate while the laser is activated for enhanced viewing and leveling. The laser body rotates 360-degrees, so you can project the last at any angle. Additionally, there are horizontal and vertical fine adjustment knobs that allow you to precisely adjust the laser without having to reposition the entire unit.
