Husqvarna 450X Automower Uses EPOS System For Wire-Free Mowing
One of the biggest pain points with autonomous mowers is the installation of boundary wires on your property. The Husqvarna 450X EPOS Automower is the brand’s first wire-free autonomous mower and we wanted to take a look at the technology behind it so you know what to expect.

The 450X EPOS is Husqvarna’s first wire-free autonomous mowing solution. It uses the brand’s EPOS (Exact Positioning Operating System) to set centimeter-accurate virtual working boundaries using satellite-based technology.
It has a cutting width of 9.45 inches and can mow up to 2,240 square feet per hour, which Husqvarna says is ideal for lawns up to 1.25 acres. You can expect it to run for around 210 minutes before it needs a recharge, which it takes care of on its own by heading back to its charging dock upon detecting a low battery. It can be back up and running with a full charge in as little as an hour.
As for the mowing performance itself, it features three pivoting razor blades for a clean cut. You can set your cutting height anywhere from 0.8 inches to 2.4 inches. Husqvarna also offers the 450XH EPOS model that gives you taller cutting heights, from 2 inches to 3.6 inches.
Husqvarna 450X EPOS Price
