The HART compact circular saw comes equipped with an 5 1/2-inch 18-tooth thin kerf blade. Its brushless motor has a top speed of 4,400 RPMs, allowing it to power through the material with ease. HART included an LED work light and integrated dust blower to help maintain a clear line of sight while you cut.
This saw has a max cutting depth of 1-3/4 inches and 90° and 1-1/4 inches at 45°. Setting the bevel is fairly straightforward, but HART takes a unique approach when it comes to adjusting the cut depth. Start by loosening the blue wingnut on the back of the upper blade guard, then slide the shoe to your desired depth using the scale molded into the lower plastic guard.
The magic of this size saw is that it gives you the ability to make quick one-handed cuts on the fly. Its max cutting depth is perfect for 2x materials and most sheet goods. Beyond that, you might want to consider stepping up to HART’s 7-1/4 inch brushless model.
HART Compact Circular Saw Design Notes
- Model: HART HPCS75
- Power Source: HART 20V battery
- Weight: 4.8 lbs (bare), 5.6 lbs (2.0Ah)
- Shoe Material: Metal
The HART HPCS75 measure 13 inches from tip to tail with the dust nozzle in place and stands 9 inches tall. It weighs in at 4.8 pounds as a bare tool and a mere 5.6 pounds with a 2.0Ah battery.
The main grip and front pommel are draped in a textured rubber overmold. Compared to many of the saws we test, the HART compact circular saw has a very flat design. The grip angle puts your hand more parallel to the material so you truly guide the saw through the cut rather than simply pushing it.
Looking down at the shoe, you have standard 0° and 45° cutting guides, cut-outs for use with an edge guide, as well as a scale across the front for making quick measurements.
Additional Features
- On-board wrench storage
- Compatible with all HART 20V batteries

The Bottom Line
