NEW FREUD PREMIER FUSION BLADES PROMISE FASTER, MORE EFFICIENT CUTTING

When it comes to power saw blades, Freud is typically near the center of the conversation. They are giving us more reason to talk about their products with the introduction of Freud Premier Fusion Blades. The blades feature a new innovation from the minds at Freud – Fusion Trio Tooth Geometry. This new geometry starts with a 30 degree Hi-ATB grind on the top of the tooth. The sides get a double grind. Finally, the face of each tooth receives an Axial Shear Face Grind. Combined, Freud tells us that is will reduce amp draw from your saw by up to 35% and increase feed speed by up to 30%!

Freud Premier Fusion Blades also feature TiCo High Density Carbide. This titanium/cobalt combination provides longer life and a sharper edge. Freud’s Perma-Shield non-stick coating delivers longer life by reducing drag and protecting from pitch or corrosion build up.

“Professional and enthusiast woodworkers can now enjoy even better performance from our next generation Premier Fusion general purpose blades,” states Russell Kohl, President and CEO of Freud America. “With the new ‘Fusion Trio’ tooth grind, this blade will effortlessly glide through material and provide flawless rip and cross cuts.”

Freud Premier Fusion Blades are available in 10 inch and 12 inch sizes. They are designed for use with table saws, sliding miter saws, and radial arm saws. For more information, check out the Freud Premier Fusion page.

As the name implies, this blade is optimized for cross cuts in cabinet making. The Cabinetmaker’s Crosscut has a 38 degree Hi-ATB tooth grind for cutting through double-sided veneer plywood and double sided melamine.
