Check Your Voltage and Current at the Same Time on the Same Screen

The Fluke T6-1000 Pro Electrical Tester tests your voltage, up to 1000V AC, and your current up to 200A. It does all this through the open fork and without test lead contact to live voltage. All you have to do is ground your black lead with the heavy-duty alligator clip, slide your wire into the open fork, and the T6-1000 displays both your current and voltage at the same time.

Key Functions and Features

Fluke tells us that the T6-1000 Pro Electrical Tester will change the way you do your job. It tests wires up to AWG 4/0 that carry as much as 200 amps and 1000V AC. The fact that you can take these measurements simultaneously saves you time when troubleshooting.

Visual Continuity

It also features Fluke’s Visual Continuity which takes the guesswork out of continuity checks. When checking continuity, the screen basically turns green when you have the beeper on. This helps out when it’s too noisy to hear the beeper, or when you’re wearing ear protection. We’d love to see this feature on more multimeters!

True-RMS and FieldSense Technology

The Fluke T6-1000 Pro features True-RMS technology, which gives you accurate voltage and current measurements, even when measuring complex signals. The FieldSense technology lets you take AC voltage, current, and frequency readings without having to make contact with live voltage.

The Fluke T6-1000 Pro Electrical Tester can measure between 1 and 1000 V AC or DC and between 0.1 and 200 A AC. It measures resistance between 1Ω and 100 kΩ with frequency measurements between 45 Hz and 66 Hz through the open fork.

The large opening on the fixed jaws lets these meter work with wire up to AWG 4/0. A Hold button also lets you freeze the screen for easier viewing of your readings. The backlit screen looks clean and easy to read. And, for convenient hands-free use, it works with the optional Fluke TPAK Magnetic Meter Hanger. That lets you hang the meter from a nail or screw or even attach it to any magnet-friendly surface.

This looks like another great product from Fluke and one that does a lot of functions well. We like the idea of reducing the tools in our kit and the T6-1000 seems to handle a lot of different tasks well. The green-screen continuity indicator might be our favorite convenience feature of all.
