Take Your Office Fitness to the Next Level with the FlexiSpot Sit2Go Desk Bike
We all have sit-stand desks in our office and while some of us use the standing function more than others, they’re helpful to have around. If you’re thinking about taking things to the next level, a desk bike, such as the FlexiSpot Sit2Go Fitness Chair might be right up your alley.

FlexiSpot Sit2Go Desk Bike: What Is It?
In a nutshell, the Sit2Go is one part stationary bike and one part office chair. At the base, four castor wheels make moving the chair into position easy and your weight engages a sort of brake so you don’t go rolling around. This makes scootching it into a perfect position a little more challenging, but it’s better than rolling backward every time you rest your arms on your desk.
Moving up, you find the pedals. When you install them, look for the left and right designations. Bike pedals install with reverse threads and they’re left/right specific.
Above the pedals are the control knob and display. Use the knob to set the amount of resistance you want. If you’re trying to work while you pedal, light to medium resistance is the way to go to keep moving without shifting too much of your attention to the bike.
The display offers helpful information such as pedaling time, current speed, distance, estimated calories burned, how far you’ve pedaled, and your current RPM. It runs on two AA batteries.
Getting to the seat, its wide padded base is reasonably comfortable and its mesh back helps keep your back cooler thanks to airflow. The height and seat are both adjustable. At 6 feet, 2 inches, I’d prefer a bit more height adjustment and the seat could stand to come back a couple of inches closer to the back. However, I was able to find a comfortable position to pedal about 10 miles a day after lunch.
When you don’t want to sit quite so high and pedal, simply use the height adjustment lever and drop it down to an office chair level.
What the FlexiSpot Sit2Go Fitness Chair Isn’t
If you spend a lot of time on a road or mountain bike, don’t expect the Sit2Go to be a replacement for your trainer. You’ll notice the fit geometry doesn’t dial in the same way and the pedaling feels quite a bit different than what you’re used to. It fits more like a comfort cruiser where the saddle is lower and the distance to the pedals isn’t as aggressive.

The Bottom Line
The FlexiSpot Sit2Go desk bike is an innovative way to keep your heart rate higher when you’re stuck at your desk. While serious cyclists may find the fit very different from what they’re used to, the 2-in-1 design offers a low-impact way to burn some extra calories while you’re bringing home the bacon.
