It was time to turn our home office into a more functional workspace. Having used several of their desks before, my Bride and I decided to bring in the Flexispot E7 Pro four leg adjustable desk to get the sit/stand and customizable heights we enjoy. I’m sitting in our reimagined office right now as I type up this review, and I’ll share my experience to help you decide if it’s a good upgrade for your office.
Pros
- Excellent range of size and color combinations
- Outstanding weight capacity
- Smooth, quiet operation
- Excellent range of optional accessories
Cons
- May not fit all interior design styles
Building Your Flexispot E7 Plus Adjustable Desk
Buying an adjustable desk from Flexispot is a highly customizable experience. If you want, you can buy the frame on its own. It’s a great option if you want to make your own top or already have one you want to install. While some models have dual T-legs or C-legs, the E7 Plus is a four-leg design.
Most people need the desktop, and you have a range of options to choose from. There’s chipboard, bamboo (55 x 28 shown in the photos), solid wood texture, solid wood, and a newer option that is a bamboo top with a built-in wireless charger. Take a look at the full range along with pricing toward the bottom of the page.
Assembly takes about an hour and the instructions are easy to follow. One thing to note is that the frame adjusts to match the desktop size, and there aren’t predrilled holes for every screw. The screw that come in the package will bite into the desk without any trouble, but it’s definitely easier with a cordless drill than a manual screwdriver.
This model doesn’t come with a cable management system other than zip tie style adhesive clips, so we added the mesh cable management accessory ($49.99). Two hanger brackets install into the bottom of the desktop and the mesh bag hangs from. The reason I like that one is that you can run your cables in and out just about anywhere along the length.
Using the Flexispot E7 Plus Adjustable Desk
The full height range runs from 26.0 to 51.6 inches, so you should be able to find both sitting and standing heights you like, even if you’re very tall. I’m 6-foot, 2 inches, and my wife is 5-foot, 9 inches, and we both have now trouble finding comfortable positions with plenty of room to spare on both ends.
We’ve never had trouble with stability on a Flexispot desk, but the four-leg design of this model takes it to another level. Even at its highest setting, it’s rock solid stable.
The frame uses two motors on opposite leg corners that connect with a rod to its nearest leg. The lift and lower function is smooth and quiet, even compared to adjustable desks I’ve used that are much more expensive. The Felxispot E7 Plus can hold up to 540 pounds—significantly higher than the E7 Pro Plus and E5 Pro.
Controls
You can install the 7-button premium control panel on either the right or left side, and the desktop has predrilled holes for it. To manually raise or lower the desk, press the up or down buttons. The control panel is touchscreen and responds quickly, so you don’t have to press hard to get a response.
There are four programmable buttons you can set independently of each other. Since our desk is shared depending on who is working remotely each day, my wife’s settings are on the sit and stand buttons while mine are on the 1 and 2 buttons.
Programming the buttons is easy. Start by adjusting to the height you want, press the “M” button, and then press the number you want to lock that height into. That’s it.
You can lock the height, so no one accidentally adjusts it. Press and hold the “M” button to activate or deactivate the lock.
The controller also has a handy USB charging port on the right-hand side of the controller.
Additional Highlights
- Anti-collision sensor stops the motors in the event of an obstacle during motion
- Available casters for desks that need mobility ($29.99)
- Four leveling adjusters
- Compatible with a wide range of clamping accessories
Flexispot E7 Plus Adjustable Desk Accessories
There are several accessories you can add to make your desk more versatile for the way you work. I already mentioned the cable management mesh we’re using. We added a couple of others as well.
The keyboard tray ($54.99) was a must-have for the way we work. I prefer to have the keyboard and mouse off the desktop to leave more room for the documents and products I’m working with.
The tray uses two screw clamps to fit it exactly where you want it and included slides to push it out of the way when you’re not using it. That makes it easily removable as well. There are also two adhesive mousepads you can attach.
Since both my wife and I use laptops as our primary computers, we also added Flexispot’s docking station ($79.99). Thanks to the USB port on the control panel, there’s an easy power supply for the docking station and we can quickly switch out computers without changing out a bunch of cables.
Here are some other accessories you might want to add:
- Padded floor mat: $59.99
- Cord tray: $34.99
- Cable management set: $49.99
- Under desk power strip $45.99
- Dual monitor mount: $74.99
There are many others, so be sure to take a look at what all is available.

Beyond the look of having four legs, the Flexispot E7 Plus adjustable height desk has outstanding weight capacity and rock-solid stability. It’s fantastic as an office desk but can be an excellent workstation in so many other applications thanks to those characteristics.
