EGO Helps You Turn Solar Energy into Clean Power
Whether you’re dealing with power loss due to a natural disaster or you’re just looking to gain more energy independence, solar power is a great option. EGO offers two sizes of solar panels in its lineup: a 100W model and a 200W model. I’m looking at both EGO Power+ solar panels to help you decide which one suits your needs.
EGO Power+ Solar Panels: Overview

As mentioned above, there are two EGO solar panel models to consider. The SP1000 has a maximum power output of 100W, and the SP2000 can produce up to 200W of power. Both models are compatible with the EGO Power+ Nexus Portable Power Station when used with the Nexus Solar Panel Charger CH1800 (sold separately).
EGO tells us that these panels are constructed with monocrystalline cells, delivering 23% solar energy conversion for high-efficiency power.
For charging capabilities, the SP1000 and SP2000 each feature a USB-A port and a USB-C (PD) port to help you power a variety of devices. The latter port also enables fast charging thanks to its increased power delivery.

These EGO solar panels are compact, lightweight, and easy to store thanks to their folding design. The SP1000 weighs just 7.5 pounds, and the SP2000 weighs just shy of 14 pounds.
EGO included kickstands to deploy when the solar panels are in use. The smaller model has two kickstands and the larger one features four for optimal balance. When you’re done using them, the kickstands fold flush against the back of the panels for a smaller storage footprint.
Each model also has a zippered pouch containing the USB charging ports, and there’s plenty of extra room to store accessories or small devices while they’re charging. Next to the charging ports, an LED indicator lets you keep track of the solar panel’s status. It toggles between solid red and solid green to help you manage the power level, device connection status, and more.
When you’re wrapping up for the day, these solar panels fold neatly for compact storage. There’s also a carrying handle to help you transport your solar panel while it’s folded.
