The Pinewood Derby. An event that will bring fathers and children together for lots of tool-use and inspired mayhem. Well, Dremel is getting into the game big-time, announcing its upcoming Pinewood Derby Days events. By partnering with Lowe’s, Dremel is offering in-store clinics for Pinewood Derby lovers across the country. During the events, participants will receive car design tips, tricks and even a 10 percent off coupon for any Dremel tool, attachment, or accessory purchases. We’ve experienced the fun of working with kids to make cars locally and think something like this would have been great when we were growing up.
Clinics will be held on select Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at all Lowe’s locations including Jan. 15, Jan. 29, Feb. 5, Feb. 19 and March 5. Parents and children alike are invited to learn from local experts the best tools to use when building their race cars and best design techniques. We think this will be a great, family-friendly and local event and want to throw in our support! Dremel has even designed a website for the most avid of race fans called www.dremelderby.com where you can design and build your own pinewood derby car using one of fifteen pre-fabricated designs, and you can even print out and use templates of any of the designs for your car.
